An antique sampler from Brenda's personal collection that has been faithfully reproduced and charted for your stitching pleasure.  Brenda purchased the antique from a dealer who reportedly bought it from an estate in Connecticut.  The sampler has an early sticker on it's backside that states the sampler is from Long Island, New York.  This sampler is a prime example of early 19th century schoolgirl embroidery.  The antique is worked in mostly silks on linen ground. 

The sampler calls for a 30 count linen.  Old Town Blend by R&R would be a good linen color choice.
